Where has the time gone?

There just does not seem to be enough hours in the day to get to everything. Like most of you already know... there have been many many many changes in our company here in the last few months. We have a new site manager, new planner scheduler, new IT site manager and various other roles have changed. People have come and gone over the past few months. Here we are already looking toward winter. Fall is almost upon us and we are still striving to get into a groove.

We do have some upcoming events and we would like all who can participate to do so. In the month of October, we are going to have a United Way Fundraiser (maybe a couple of them). If any of you have ideas, please be sure to email either Mike B or myself (Paula) and give us your ideas for a fund raiser. Right now a couple of the ideas for fund raisers we are thinking of doing are: 50/50 raffle. You pay $1.00 for a ticket and at the end of the raffle, who's name is drawn will get 50% of the money collected. The other 50% will go to the United Way. The 2nd idea is a pie in the face... Certain people will volunteer to be the receivers and you can pay so much to throw a cream pie in the face of certain individuals. Please send us any other ideas that you may have to a fund raiser. We will also do our regular pledge cards for those of you who wish to continue to donate this way also. There will be drawings again this year, but we do not yet know what the prizes are.

Christmas will soon be here.. .I know.. i don't like thinking about it either!! We are going to have a Decatur Site Christmas party again this year. It is going to be on December 6, 2008 at The Beach House. As in the years past, ATS will pay for the meal and desserts, there will be a cash bar and a DJ (our own Andy Macari will be rockin the house). We are going to be having some give a ways and a gift exchange for those who wish to participate in this. We hope you all make a point of attending if you are not going to be working.

I'll try to do better at getting this thing updated... sometimes I think I need an admin!! :D

New Chapter Beginning

I cannot believe that it has taken me this long to post something updated on this blog! WOW. Well, in June, we had another company picnic. It was great food and great fun. Below are some pictures of some of the folks. Mark even thouht he might get to use his famous knife while cooking!

One Chapter Closing

As of today June 13, we close a chapter within ATS. Our site manager Mark is moving on. He leaves to move on to another job at another place. He will be greatly missed. We appreciate all the help he has given us and wish him nothing but greatness in his future!

Update on Life at ATS

WOW... things change quickly around here. Last week we were looking for an OSA and yesterday we had our previous OSA back. Welcome back Teresa! We have a young man (Jake) who started a couple weeks ago as a part timer IMAC, but as of today May 15, 2008 he is starting full time. We are still searching to hire one more IMAC in the IT department, so if anyone would like to earn some $$ get to the hompage and do a referral for the position. If the person you refer gets hired, you will receive 1/2 the money when they have reached their 90 day employment mark and the other 1/2 you will receive when they reach their 180 day mark. We are still in search for a nighttime maintenance tech 1. We currently have a "site manager in training" , Chris, here at our facility. He will be stationed here for a few weeks for training. Welcome Chris!! We are already 1/2 way through May. Can you believe that 1 month from now the year will be half gone? I cannot believe how quickly time is passing us by. Safety is #1

SAFETY!!!
Each of you should be aware of how much safety is of importance to our company. Why is safety so important? We want to ensure your families that you will be returning home from work. We don't want you to live your life impaired due to injury that could be avoided. Personally I never thought too much about safety prior to coming to work here, but I am so grateful to work for a company that strives to go above and beyond our customers expectations regarding safety. We want each employee to get in the habit of reporting unsafe acts or safety violations. Something you see and report could save someone else's life. This is part of the reason that is has become part of our required safety training each month to complete at least 2 safety observations or safety concerns. We don't do this to give you more work to do, we want each person to live safety! Your kids and family members along with mine will thank you!
